Our cuvée

of CHATEAU LA GRANDE GELLEYRE is a blend of ripe aromatic grape from our best plots of MERLOT and CABERNET of average 30 years old.

Notes of red and dark berries are combinated with subtles flavours of toasted bread, tobacco and chocolate aromas.

The mouth, all in fruit and delicacy, combines roundness and gentle tanins to be by continued
by a nice equilibrium and a good lenght.

  • 70% Merlot
  • 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vineyard : around 30 yeard old, controlled sodding, sustainable crop, meticulous stripping, yield of around 45 HL/ha

Vinification : fermentation in concrete tanks, pneumatic press

Ageing : for a part in high quality french and american oak barrels

Environmental approach : HVE3 certification in progress

Tasting : taste around 16-18°C , open the bottle if possible 1 hour before serve

Conservation : this wine could be appreciated young as well that in 5 years
